2

Enable Unknown Sources

Before installing any APK file, you must enable the option to allow installation from unknown sources. The method varies by Android version:

📱 Android 8.0+ (Oreo+)

  • Open <strong>Settings</strong>
  • Go to <strong>Apps & notifications</strong> or <strong>Apps</strong>
  • Tap <strong>Special access</strong> or <strong>Advanced</strong>
  • Select <strong>Install unknown apps</strong>
  • Choose the browser or file manager you used to download the APK
  • Enable <strong>Allow from this source</strong>

📱 Android 7.1 or older

  • Open <strong>Settings</strong>
  • Go to <strong>Security</strong> or <strong>Lock screen and security</strong>
  • Enable <strong>Unknown sources</strong>
  • Accept the warning if prompted

⚠️ Warning: Disable this option after installation to protect your device.

3

Locate the Downloaded File

Open the <strong>Files</strong> or <strong>Downloads</strong> app on your device. The APK file is usually found in the "Downloads" folder.

You can also open the notification bar and tap the downloaded file directly.

4

Install the Application

Tap the APK file to open it. The installation screen will appear with app information and required permissions.

  • Review the requested permissions carefully
  • Tap the <strong>"Install"</strong> button
  • Wait for installation to complete (usually 5-30 seconds)
  • When done, tap <strong>"Open"</strong> to launch the app
5

Verify Installation

After installation, you'll find the app icon in the app drawer or home screen. Open the app and verify it works correctly.

Common Issues & Solutions
Installation blocked or cannot install
Make sure "Unknown Sources" is enabled for the app you're using (browser or file manager). On some devices, you may need to enable additional options in security settings.
App doesn't work after installation
The version might not be compatible with your device. Check system requirements (minimum Android version) and try an older version of the app.
"App not installed" error
Possible causes: • Older version than currently installed - uninstall first • Insufficient storage space - delete unnecessary files • Corrupted file - download again • App signature mismatch - remove old version
"Parse error: There was a problem parsing the package"
This means the file is corrupted or incompatible. Try: • Re-downloading the file • Checking SHA-256 checksum • Ensuring the file is for Android (not iOS or other OS) • Verifying your Android version meets requirements
🔒 Safety Tips
